I always feel proud to tell people that I am a teacher at Oak Grove. I love spending my days with the students. Every day is exciting, with lots to learn (for all of us!) During my time teaching at Oak Grove I have had the good fortune to teach Fifth Grade, Fourth Grade, and CES Reading. My family lives in the school district and my daughter attended Oak Grove from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade (quite a badge of honor!) I earned my undergraduate education degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, and my Master’s of Reading degree from Beaver College, also in Pennsylvania. I have a passion for learning and teaching and I wouldn’t want to do be anywhere but here.
Oak Grove has had a positive impact on my personal and professional life, I feel fortunate to teach at the school district where I grew up. After graduating from LHS, I attended the University of Iowa where I received a Bachelors degree in Education. I currently hold a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from NIU. I am grateful to work with such a dedicated staff here at Oak Grove. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. - Mrs. Dunn
