Teaching remains my passion after 30 years, and I am fortunate to say that Oak Grove has played a huge part of that since 2005! I am committed to educating the whole child and graduated in 1979 from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. I am certified to teach in five categories of special education and also earned my Bachelors in general education at that time. I completed my master’s degree in 1981. I am still continuing to learn! My wonderful husband, Ron, is a retired school administrator! We have three amazing children, Ryan, who works in the software industry and lives in Chicago, Katie, a 4th grade teacher in Buffalo Grove lives in Libertyville, and Jason, who works for Coca-Cola and lives in Grayslake. Our dog, Izzie, brings us joy! I love to read, shop, travel and enjoy my daily dose of chocolate!
Mr. Henneberry joined the Oak Grove family in 2000 as a classroom aide and wrestling coach. Since then I have taught 6th grade Social Studies and currently teach 4th grade. My wife, a nurse at Condell Medical Center, and I reside in Libertyville. My education includes an Elementary certification as well as Junior High endorsements in English and Social Studies. When I am not in the classroom I can be found at practice. I coach 3 sports, football at LHS in the fall, wrestling at OGS in the winter, and lacrosse at LHS in the spring. My passion for education was born on the practice field and I believe co-curricular activities enhance the education experience of every student. I consider myself blessed to be teaching at Oak Grove and am grateful for the support I receive from the parents, administration and fellow professionals.
